Pursuant to the Laws and Rules of the Fourth Degree, the above officers must be installed not later than the first regular meeting in October, and shall take office, with or without installation, on July 1, 2010. As stated above, the installation is set for August 19, 2010.

A special thank you to SK Ray Riecke for the delicious pork roast,
Jambalaya, corn and spinach casserole feast, which he prepared for the May meeting. SK Ron Geauthreaux prepared the dinner for the June 1, 2010 meeting. The white beans and sausage were very good, thanks Chef Ronald. In closing, the election of the new officers is a gentle reminder to me that my term as Faithful Navigator is fast coming to a close. I sincerely appreciate the opportunity that you gave to me to serve this truly outstanding Assembly. I shall always cherish the memories. Regretfully, I missed the June meeting. Joyette and I are celebrating our 40th anniversary on a cruise. But, I am looking forward to my upcoming term as
Faithful Admiral. I am thankful to pass the gavel to SK Joe Scuderi.

Vivat Jesus,
Bob Rhoden, FN (Past)

COLOR CORP COMMANDERS REPORT
Wesley Russell 674-3965
russellwesley@bellsouth.net

Brother Sir Knights,

The Schedule for the Color Corp is almost clear. The only event is extremely important. This coming Sunday is the Celebration of the Feast of Corpus Christi. St. Peters in Covington has an
annual Eucharistic Procession and the Color Corp always participates.

Mass starts at 11:30 a.m. and the Procession immediately follows with the procession at the end of mass. Please arrive at least by 11:00 a.m. at the reception hall in back of the church. There is a bathroom and a secure room for your gear. Two years ago Joe Scuderi was the only Knight to answer the call. Don’t let that happen again!

The Color Corp usually leads the Celebrant into the church and leads the Procession out. We split ranks into two columns and wait for the Holy Eucharist to come between our two columns. The Color Corp will then take up positions to the right and left of the Eucharist (and behind if we have enough Knights. The Color Corp Commander walks in front of the Eucharist.

Normally the temperature is very warm. Check the temperature and adjust for the heat retention of our black tux, chapeau, and cape. We will be exposed to the weather for a good half hour. For those who can participate, the gratitude of the Priest and congregation is more than an offset to this short suffering.

Call me with any questions!

VIVAT JESUS!
Wes

My Brother Knights,

I have a suggestion that everyone can do, that is:

PROUDLY FLY OUR FLAG 24/7 WHILE WE STILL CAN

MAY GOD BLESS AMERICA AND ALL THE SOULS IN IT.

Be sure you VOTE on November 2nd. It is our duty and right, and OPPORTUNITY to save America and the American way. IF you don’t vote you have NO RIGHT to complain about anything.

Sir Knights,

In November we will have the opportunity to save the future of America, IF WE VOTE! It is not only your right to vote, it is your duty. If you don’t vote why would you feel you have the right to complain about the way things are? There are places in this world where people risk their lives in order to vote, it hasn’t come to that here, YET, but if honest, God fearing, American citizens don’t take a stand in the voting booth it could happen sooner than you might think. I’m not suggesting who to vote for, I asking you to vote for the America we all know and love. Too much blood and too many lives have been lost to protect her. Don’t think of who you are going to vote for instead keep in mind WHAT you are voting for. God Bless America and all the souls in her.

Let us KEEP CHRIST in our hearts throughout every year. Let’s bring HIM back into our daily lives. HE IS our salvation! Pray the Holy Rosary at least once a day. To Jesus through Mary!

VIVAT JESUS!
Sir Knight Al H.

My Brother Sir Knights, I know this is a repeat but I do not think it can be repeated often enough. A very large number of men and women through the years have offered themselves, and even their very life, for you to have the RIGHT to vote it is NOW YOUR OIPPORTUNITY to step up and save America and the American way.
VOTE November 2, 2010 it is your duty and right!

SPRING CLEANING

We highly recommend updating or a “Spring Cleaning” of the insurance policies you own. Take them out, dust them off, and permit your Knights of Columbus Insurance Agent to share with you his expertise.

Perhaps changes in your family have taken place. Perhaps a new beneficiary has come along and should be added to your policy. Maybe you should be considering a change in your dividend option which would add to the total protection afforded without increasing the contribution.

Finally, perhaps an increase in your income suggests a corresponding increase in your insurance portfolio so that it will keep pace with your economic worth to assure the well-being of your loved ones.

Give me, your Brother Knight a call today.

Vivat Jesus!
Len

Good manners do not come naturally, they must be learned and practiced like music or a foreign language. Love must be learned and learned again, there is no end to it. Some may pray: “Dear Lord, give me health for a long time, give me a good appetite time and time again, give me work, but not too much, but give me love all the time.”

Good Manners

Good Morals

Don’t depend on the “rabbit foot” for success.

It certainly did not help the rabbit!
